A Public House

A more casual/relaxed space-
more like a house than a privately owned establishment. I.e. a public house.

The pub has interesting aspects to its
business and social structure.
It is a space that people,as well as eating and drinking, come together and play games and watch tv, which often the owner does not gain from monetarily.

(Is the act of eating and drinking in such spaces the primary or secondary act (to the social activity)?
The 'hall' has seen a fall from grace from
the old 'great halls', to simply being the area near the front door.
Stretford Public Hall, is reinventing its central space to bring back the old civic function of the hall.
This proposal for the Essoldo aims to make the modern definition of the hall and hallway also become a architectural focal point.
