Since the mid-80s there has been a small resurgence in the popularity of cinema in the UK, be it in relatively niche areas.

This resurgence has yet to occur in Stretford, but there is a large potential for that to happen now.

This graph maps the cinema admission data of UK cinemas, against the history of The Essoldo.

It reveals The Essoldo to be a textbook example of the progression of UK cinema as a whole.

Despite spending just as long as a Bingo Hall, The Essoldo is usually popularly thought of in its original form as a cinema.
